Cute And Fuzzy Bunnies

People who know me know I am not extremely emotional nor am I overtly affectionate yet I can’t help but be affected by the adorability of a baby rabbit; bunnies are about the cutest thing you will ever see.

2 and 1/2 week old Florida White Kits

These itty-bitty balls of fuzz with their teeny little faces, tiny twitching noses, small furry ears,  fluffy soft feet, and bushy little tails  are just so stinkin’ cute.

When asleep, a brood piled together  or a single kit curled up on its own will steal your heart.

Watching  awakened bunnies bounding about will make you smile from ear to ear but the real awwwww factor comes when they sit up on their hind legs and wash their faces and ears (they look as if they are praying);  tell me that’s not the epitome of cuteness.

Even their bunny bums are cute.

Lets face it, we think bunnies are so cute that we dress our own precious babies in bunny print attire

and place bunny slippers on their feet .

We even costume them and photograph them as bunnies.

We adorn our little one’s nurseries with bunny decor,

Peter Rabbit Nursery

give them bunny toys to play with,

The rattle Charley gave me when he found out I was pregnant with MacKenzie

 read them books about bunnies,

Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter

***Tangent: For a really neat treat click HERE to read a “…first printing of the first edition of Peter Rabbit, … held by the Special Collections Department of The University of Iowa Libraries”.  It’s a virtual book, how cool is that!  I still like real books better though.***

 show them movies with bunnies,

Bambi’s Best Friend Thumper (Disney)

and allow them to watch television shows starring bunnies.

Nick Jr.’s Max and Ruby

***Tangent:  THIS post from www.circleofmom’s.com pretty well sums up my feelings about these two but aesthetically their still cute.***

Why?  Because bunnies are just plain CUTE!

And how sweet is this?  Bunny Bread?

“But what about kittens, and puppies, and  other baby mammals?”, you ask.  Well, sure they’re cute but not AS cute as bunnies.  Let’s face it, we think rabbits are so much cuter than other animals that we dress the others up like bunnies.

I do think piglets are very cute, especially this one in his wee, little rainboots

but still I have to go with the adorability of baby rabbits,

though WatershipDown is rather dark and creepy and Babe is fun and uplifting; one of my favorite movies Babe.

As a rabbitier I know I am biased but I know that YOU know that THESE cute and fuzzy babies are ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE.

If you’re still not convinced that bunnies are the most adorable of all animals I can sic the harmless little bunny from the Cave of Caerbannog upon you.

NOW ARE YOU CONVINCED?!?!?

Repeat after me then, “Bunnies are the cutest and fuzziest animals of them all”. ;-)

“And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good”. Genesis 1:25

And this is exactly why I am not raising them. I can’t kill them… so I’d end up with a bazillion of them. Even our chickens are egg-producing pets!

    • The cuteness wears off when it is time for dinner, besides they are much older than this before they become fryers. I just commented to Charley about making a serious proposal to the city so we can have chickens. I still need your mad crop/produce growing skills, my blcak thumb is such s hinderance; Mac has been doing well cultivating flowers this season though.
